Resilience Through Technology
Tech Trendy is a non-for-profit initiative that was founded during Covid pandemic in 2021 to help grow digital skills for Palestinian refugees in the MENA region and the diaspora. Founded in Lebanon, Tech Trendy recognizes the challenges faced by Palestinian refugees and is committed to addressing them through digital up-skilling and education.
Our initiative extends to empowering refugees with essential skills and providing them with opportunities for personal and professional growth. By leveraging technology as a tool for change, we seek to create pathways for our members to access meaningful employment opportunities and contribute to their communities.
As part of our commitment to the transformative power of technology for Palestinians every where, Tech Trendy seeks to support the current generation as well as those who have been displaced, emphasizing inclusivity and opportunity in our programs. By collaborating with local and international partners, we seek to make a positive impact on their lives, fostering resilience, innovation and hope for a brighter future. Founder
Mr. Bassem Al-Wazir is an IT professional and thought leader passionate about innovation. With experience in FMCG, Telecom, and Non-Profit, he has led IT and Digital Transformation as a CIO/Director. Focused on AI, IoT, and blockchain, he drives change through emerging tech. Mr. Bassem actively contributes to forums, advocating for innovation, human rights, and sustainability.

Ahmad Ghaben
Co-Founder of the Tech Trendy initiative, driving innovation in technology and cybersecurity awareness. An InfoSec expert assistant, specializing in cybercrime prevention and protection against blackmail. Passionate about educating and empowering individuals on digital security, ensuring a safer online environment through awareness and proactive measures.

Mohammad Abdelkarim
Experienced in full-stack web development, cybersecurity, and data analytics, he specializes in securing digital assets and developing innovative tech solutions. As the Founder of a consulting firm, he has led teams in building websites and mobile apps across industries. With a background in cybersecurity and a passion for teaching, he has mentored over 100 students in Python, cybersecurity, and robotics, fostering their technical growth. Continuously advancing his expertise in network security, penetration testing, and secure coding, he stays at the forefront of emerging cybersecurity trends.
Mariam Hamid
A Senior Biomedical Engineering student at Lebanese International University, he is passionate about integrating technology with healthcare. Through internships at Al Zahraa and Bahman Hospitals, he has worked on ECGs, monitors, and infusion pumps. He developed a wireless digital stethoscope, showcasing his innovation. Eager to apply his skills in medical device development, he strives to contribute to healthcare advancements.
Souad Khalifeh
With a foundation in Computer Science, specializing in machine learning, she explores how data and AI transform industries. Her experience spans programming, AI, and UI/UX design, blending technical expertise with user-focused solutions. As a consulting intern and STEAM Team Leader, she honed communication and leadership skills. Passionate about AI, she aims to drive impactful, real-world innovations.

With a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Lebanese International University, he has developed expertise in methodology and front-end design. As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist at XpertBot and a Web Developer at Bepro, he ensures software excellence and engaging web experiences. Recognized for academic honors, he leverages bilingual fluency in English and Arabic to meet diverse business needs.
Mostafa Fahed
With a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Lebanese International University, he has built strong expertise in web development and cybersecurity. His experience spans creating secure, efficient web solutions while implementing best practices in cyber defense. Passionate about technology and innovation, he applies his skills to develop robust digital experiences and ensure cybersecurity resilience in an ever-evolving digital landscape.
